International Fresh Forwarder Combine with AON Member Aries Global Logistics on Nuclear Power Station Project
International Fresh Forwarder is proud to announce that they have remained the winner of the
national tender for the import and export movements of this project, performing responsibly the logistics operations for NASA to improve the quality and quantity of energy in the country.
Nucleoeléctrica Argentina S.A. (NASA) is a generator of electric power, operator of the Argentine
nuclear power plants and in charge of the management of the country’s nuclear projects.
This time, they took a task of handling a cargo from Cordoba province via Buenos Aires, Argentina to the final destination in Canada with two Flat Rack special equipment.
Nuclear Power Station Reservoir
It is the second nuclear plant built in Argentina and has an electric power of 683 megawatts. It is located on the south coast of the Tercero river reservoir in the province of Córdoba.
The plant successfully reached the critical stage of its reactor on January 4, 2019, initiating the second operating cycle for a cycle of 30 years.
The reactor of the plant is CANDU (Canadian Deuterium Uranium) and belongs to the type of pressure tube installations, whose fuel is natural uranium and its coolant and moderator heavy water.
