Award winning freight company expands
Award-winning shipping company Global Freight has announced a major expansion with the launch of a dedicated department to deal with its international personal effects removal service.
The firm has made the move following a rise in demand for its bespoke service for people who are moving into or out of the UK.
It is a significant development for Global Freight, which will soon be entering its third decade of international shipping. It is already predicting a record year with a strategy to grow by 20 per cent during 2015.
The Telford-based business, run by international trade expert Nicole Howarth, already has an established reputation for the trouble free import and export of goods overseas.
Nicole, who began the business in 1996, said the creation of a dedicated personal effects market service had been a natural extension of its core business, and tapped into the expertise of the expanded Global Freight team.
She said: “We have built up a sizeable network of valued contacts and partners during our work with businesses from first-time exporters to established companies with complex two-way trade programmes.
“We have many years of successfully moving people’s possessions to and from the UK but took the decision to formalise our personal effects removal service with the launch of a specialist team as we are experiencing a surge in demand for this service.
“The new department will focus on using our extensive experience and excellent customer service record for the benefit of those people looking to relocate overseas.”
The service will be headed by Anton Gunter, previously with Anglo Pacific International, who recently took up the post of National Sales Manager at Global Freight.
He has more than 15 years experience in international logistics and is a specialist in relocations.
“Moving internationally can be a stressful and traumatic time, but our aim at Global Freight is to make it as effortless and easy as possible,” said Anton.
“We will be offering a tailored approach to make sure each individual move goes smoothly. Global Freight will be able to find a bespoke solution that will suit anyone’s needs from moving one box to an entire household by sea, air or road.
“We can also deal with importation and customs issues as well as packing. This is a very exciting development for Global Freight and we look forward to growing our business in this sector.”
