Globalcare Logistics and Freedom Logistics collaborate to transport historic race cars!
AerOceaNetwork Members Globalcare Logistics (USA) and Freedom Logistics (UK) recently worked together to move a Titan Mk6A, 1971 Formula Ford, March 782/#14, 1978 Formula Two race car and a Hawke DL2A/#065 Formula Ford race car.
The vehicles for shipment have been purchased by Garry Diver and Paul Gallagher, UK residents from George Stanwick (US resident). They will be shipped to the UK and used for the sole purpose of historic racing in the UK.
Overview of the vehicles:
TITAN Mk6A/#71626, 1971 Formula Ford race car.
This vehicle was used in the historic racing circuit over the last 20 years by J Dale Barry. It was purchased by George Stanwick in January 2018.The car has a substantial history of races on the West Coast before being purchased by G Stanwick.
MARCH 782/#14, 1978 Formula Two race car.
This car was owned and raced by Andy Falbo of Fountain Hills AZ who has owned the car since the mid 1980’s. The car was retired from racing in 1995 and has been unused since then. The car will undergo an extensive restoration before being used again in historic races in the UK.
HAWKE DL2A/#065 Formula Ford race car.
This car was owned by Richard Kelly and raced nationally through to 2016 in historic and veteran sports car races. The car will require significant restoration before being accepted for historic races in the UK.
All these vehicles were of very limited production (often as few as 10 cars) in period and were designed and constructed for closed circuit racing only. As such they were ineligible for use on the public highway and were never registered for road use. They are single seat vehicles lacking lights, mudguards and other safety features required of street legal vehicles.
The vehicles in question do not have VIN numbers or other road legal identifications. Their chassis numbers listed are unique to the manufacturer and details of ownership are recorded in the register of historic racing vehicles.
The cars will be admitted to the UK as Historic Race cars and will attract duty and VAT at the rates currently applicable.

About AerOceaNetwork (AON):
Since 2002 we have been running AerOceaNetwork (AON). We are a non-exclusive group of like minded independent international freight forwarders who want to excel in their markets. At the same time we are building our good name around the globe. Our global forwarding members meet annually to develop their cargo business pipelines and establish personal ties, which quite often even develop into lifelong friendships – another intangible benefit of joining our group of forwarding professionals.
We target positive people who run progressive international logistics companies for our forwarding network membership. We aim to stick to that membership profile and build on it for the future. Everyone benefits from this.
Before becoming our forwarding network member, prospect applicants are required to provide references of other international freight forwarding agents who they’ve worked with over time. We check these shipping references for financial ability, operational capability, mutual sales development & follow up, and communication skills (both in ability as well as response time) as well as other pertinent information. Only companies who pass this process can be offered membership in our group.
