JL Logistic Germany Chartered Boeing 747F from Amsterdam to Chicago
AON Member, JL Logistic got the order to send 15 steel tubes with a length of 1230cm and a diameter of 86cm – total 82000 kgs via airfreight to Duluth, Minnesota. As the shipment had to be sent in one lot, only a charter was possible.
After consultation with the client and the packing company, crates and floors were built which were suitable for a nose load into a B 747-400.
Shipment was delivered in Amsterdam and loaded into the aircraft within 4 hours. One hour later, the flight departed with the destination to Chicago.
Upon arrival of the Boeing in the US metropolis, JL Logistic partner and AON member Saturn Freight Systems arranged the loading onto 5 flatbed trucks still on the apron. Saturn Freight delivered at consignees factory in Minnesota in time.
