MCS Logistics International Private Limited Handles Heavy Machine

2 min read

MCS Logistics International Private Limited Project Division successfully executed a breakbulk shipment of six heavy machines (545 x 370 x 270cm) along with other small electrical panels packed in a box which weighed 234 Tons / 336.60 cbm (total tonnage/Volume ) from Port of Shanghai to Goa.

The challenges included the execution during the Second Wave of Covid-19 in India with labour shortage, diesel hike, vehicle and driver shortage with migration of the drivers to their native but the unforeseen was the Tropical Cyclone Tauktae, during road transportation of all six vehicles.  The safe delivery of the valuable and delicate machines was possible only due to the impeccable efforts and undaunted courage of the project team to coordinate with supplier, vessel owner/ agent, stevedores, customs, and closely arranged escorts with all compliance of Covid-19 for inter-state transportation.
