The best is yet to come for Transforwarding S.L.
Transforwarding S.L. from Barcelona, Spain has been nominated for World Air Cargo Awards 2016 in the category Air Cargo Industry Achievement Award 2016.
In February 2015, they began Project Al Salam which took them to the Royal Palace in Saudi Arabia. This project was the largest project of air cargo carried in the history of Barcelona airport in a short space of time (February to June).
This project consisted of charter flights with construction and decoration materials sent to Riyadh airport and Jeddah. In total, they moved 40 charters. 18 charters from Barcelona B747-400, 19 charters from Liege B747-400, one B747-400 charter Nose door moved from Hong Kong, one charter from Milan A330 and A330 last charter was from Beirut. They have moved tons and 13855.054 2315 cbm of goods. The airlines chosen were Saudi Airlines (38 x747-400), Royal Jordanian (1 x A310F) and finally Egypt Air (1xA310F).
For charters that had departure from Barcelona and Liege, organization and logistics control was a challenge due to lack of time and end customer demand. Trucks moved from southern Europe to Barcelona, and from France to Liege. Another challenge was the optimization of aircraft to reduce costs because of the large volume of the transaction.
Transforwarding S.L. would like to thank the professionalism of the entire team, Transjunior, WFS and the customs area of Barcelona. Without them the implementation of this project would not have been possible.
AerOceaNetwork (AON) would also like to congratulate Transforwarding S.L. for a job well done!
